April Serenade at Brookdale

April brings showers and sometimes a Serenade. This was a fun set for me filled with some classic hits from the 70s and 80s and some more current ones. I started off with Time in a Bottle, moved onto Bad Bad Leroy Brown, and then Time of the Season by the Zombies. I played not one, but three Bee Gees songs: I started a Joke , To Love Somebody and How Can You Mend a Broken Heart. I was gushing over Brett Young’s In Case You Didn’t Know, and Calum Scott’s, You are the Reason. I included some Eagles: Take it Easy and Peaceful Easy Felling and closed with Alan Jackson’s Remember When. Lots of fun. I always play some Purple Rain for one of my favorite residents who sings along with me. Amazingly fun set for me.
