Brewed Awakenings Birthday!

I had an absolute blast playing Brewed’s 15th Birthday Celebration. It was great to see the crew again and new owner Jackie was busy greeting customers and hosting a fabulous birthday party. The balloon photo booth was extra fun, and after my set, I expressoed myself with a fun selfie. My set list included several songs that I learned over my post-holiday break. I opened with The Cure’s Friday I’m in Love, Tiffany’s I think We’re Alone Now, and I Melt with You, my toned down acoustic take on this Modern English hit. Jackie taped my rendition of Fade Into You (Mazzy Star). My rendition of The Sounds of Silence and Holding Out for A Hero earned quite the applause. I played some other favorites including Better Days, Right on time and Country Roads. I cheered things up with the Bellamy Brothers Let Your Flow, and Flowers by Miley Cirus. My rendition of I can See Clearly Now brought an unexpected appreciation. It was great fun to be playing live music again, and in one of my favorite local venues, where the lattes are lovely, the crew is the friendliest, and the customers all appreciate the good vibes.
