Brewed Awakenings Cafe

I had an amazing afternoon performing at a Brewed Awakenings Cafe in nearby Saline, MI. This is a fantastic venue to play as a singer/guitarist. The owner was fabulous to work with and made scheduling and logistics for the event super easy! She even polished my poster making it look more pro! I have been to a few events at Brewed and really appreciate their emphasis on supporting the community, and especially local artists. The staff was not to be outdone, and I can’t thank them enough for the warm hospitality.

My set list for this performance included a mix of songs about family, love, and heartbreak, the kind of emotions we all carry around with us.

Family songs included My Old Man, Most of All, He Didn’t Have to Be, Like My Mother Does. Love Songs: Die for You, In Case You Didn’t Know, You are the Reason, and The Keeper of the Stars. I went deep with Inner Demons, and upbeat with Yellow, Let Your Love Flow, and I’ll be There. I stepped back in time to Weekend in New England, At Last, and the Goodbye Girl. Some of my heartache songs included Bring on the Rain, Flowers, and Lost Without You. I strummed it up to Where is the The Love and the Monkeys. Somewhere in the mix, I threw in some Bee Gees.

I had an absolute blast! I cannot wait to play again, and am already working on a creative set list for this next Brewed Performance.

Stop by July 26 from 2-4, if you’re in the area!

A special shout out to friends who stopped by. Thanks and credits to Sue Kelch for the photo and for the plug in The Sun Times News (Saline, MI).
